GridGain - Open Source Cloud Computing Platform

GridGain is the fastest growing open source Java-based Open
Cloud Platform. We will discuss how it is ideally suited for
emerging native cloud application development. The presentation
starts with a brief introduction to grid computing and cloud
computing, followed by a discussion about a synergy between two and
the actual use cases.

Further, GridGain and its key features will be reviewed with an
emphasis on how these features simplify running grid-enabled
applications on the cloud environment. Real-life example of running
largest publicly known grid on Amazon using GridGain will be
discussed.

BRING YOUR LAPTOPS!

Nikita will demonstrate how you can dynamically add more worker
machines.  NYJavaSIG members in the audience will be able to
join the cloud on the fly.
